Using Pocket Mirror?
I would like to make Pocket Mirrors, like those on here: myfavoritemirrors.com lookingglassgirl.com for me and as gifts. Anyone know where I can buy supplies so I can customize the design on the back?
(The first link is not working ... why not to give the full URL just to make sure people can go if possible?) As for the back, you could make a cut ordinary, or you could to a "carbon copy" transfer using a paper sticker or t-shirt transfer papers that are decals. You can also cover them with a kind of clay. If you need something solid, polymer clay is a good choice and it can be done almost anywhere any pattern or image or color (s) you want. For applications as fine clay, you should probably avoid Sculpey clay because they are smaller after cooking when thin ... Instead, go to Premo, FimoClassic, Kato or identify, or FimoSoft is a medium strength in polymer clay. If you are interested, you can look at least at this point to my site where the mirrors in particular are addressed: http://glassattic.com/polymer/frames-mirrors.htm (click ... mirrors ...) Check back for loads more all on the polymer clay ... things to do and how to use: http://glassattic.com/polymer/contents.htm HTH, Diane B.
