And if you are one, how do you average per month? How much of your own money have you set? Benefits? Cons? Basically, I'm just trying to watch part-time employment potential that I can do as a full-time mom. I checked their website but they do not touch directly on the subject. Investment necessary to begin in Mary Kay can be important since you are required to store your own items. As for starting, do you know someone who is a consultant? This is the easiest way, just ask them and they can sign up. As for how long you can do, it really varies. My mom sells Mary Kay (and I help him in his bookkeeping, sales, etc.), it breaks even (or claims a small loss) each year, because it has used its profits to pay for her own makeup and was not an active seller. On the other hand, its director is making huge sums of money because she took the share of sales and development of its customers very seriously. Advantages: Keep your makeup handy to use staff, people like knowing they can have the item and not having to wait for an order to comply with, the product quality is excellent. Being part of an active network allows you to negotiate if you need people from other things and so, greater profit margins (50%) than sales Most of the concerts consultant today. Disadvantages: you have to carry your own inventory. If something is removed or if you have a difficult time selling your product, which can really cut into profit (hence the profit margin) because it is paid for the inventory to sit on hand.
