earth is round then why japan is considered far east?
as it depends on the choice where we cut the original round earth map(globe) to a rectangular map(after stretching on top and bottom if it is done) then why this only choice is made?
Actually it depends on the Line of Date i.e. 180' Meridian East or West. It crosses near the Japan. Japan lies west to that line. That line is considered to be the starting point for the movement of sun. That's why Japan is considered far east.
One more thing the places of far east and far west are very close but there is a difference of one day in their date.
