Foreclosure -I have a crazy question-can you take all the good stuff out of the house to sell/?
Two things - we have neighbors being evicted from their home at the end of the month. Can they take out the good stuff (light fixtures/dishwashers/furnace/faucets/cabinet hardware) to sell for themselves? They need the money but what can they take out - toilets/ sinks? What is the legal ramifications? . I don't think it's very nice but they said they didn't own it anymore.
They never did own any of those things. As long as the their was a mortgage on the home...the bank owns the home...those things that were the original part of the home...belong to the bank. Taking them is not a good idea and they can be charged with felony theft if they decide to take/sell them.
