Having to restart computer to read media?
I have a compact flash card that I use to transfer files from my computer to my embroidery machine. I always eject the card by right clicking on the green arrow on the bottom right hand corner of my computer and selecting the card (safely removing hardware). Well if I have to go back to my computer to transfer more files and I put my compact flash card back into the computer it will not read it..like if its not even there. I have to restart my computer then put in the card in order for the computer to detect the card again. Is this normal? I went to best buy looking for an external card reader so I won't have to restart my computer and the rep told me that its not normal for me to have to restart my computer in order for the computer to read the card again after ejecting. There is a little green light on the computer that comes on when I put the card in and it goes off after I eject.
There is nothing on My Computer detecting the card. Any idea on how to fix myself?
Hi,
No, that is not normal behaviour, when you re-insert the card and the green light comes on you should be able to read the card.
Can you see the re-inserted card by using my computer or windows explorer?
