Used HK or New Glock?
I am picking out a handgun at the moment. I would love an HK but honestly can't justify spending $800 on a new one. I have the chance to get a used HK USP .40 that is in perfect condition for $532. I would rather have a .45acp and was originally going to get a Glock 30 NIB for $537 but this deal on the HK came up so now I can't decide. I understand that the Glock 30 is compact and the HK I am looking at is not but I don't plan on conceal carrying much. Even though the HK is a .40 do yall think I should get it. By the way I only plan on owning one handgun for a very very long time so I want to make the right choice the first go around. Thanks in advance.
I carried the HKUSP40 Fullsize, variant one as my main sidearm for over a decade. There's a good reason for that. On the other hand, I have never owned a compact Glock, and have no intention of ever owning a compact Glock. There's another good reason for that.
You need to make your own decision, based on your own good reasons. Controllability, fit, function, ergonomics, weight, purpose, operation, and many other "reasons" should be weighed, by you, before making your decision. The 2 pistols you have chosen are both high quality guns that will offer you years of good service. It's not a matter of quality here, it's a matter of which one fits you better.
