What are the straps on Till's Mein Teil butcher getup?
I was watching Rammstein's live performance of their song Mein Teil and decided that Till's Butcher getup was going to be my costume for Halloween this year.But I can't seem to figure out what the straps/belt is over the apron. Can someone help me out?

The buckles look just like weight-lifting-belt buckles to me, but instead of leather, the belts themselves look like they're made of canvas! If you could locate a couple of weight belts, you could always spray paint them beige, maybe? Or if you could find a couple of belts at a yard sale, Goodwill store, Salvation Army store, you could cut the buckles off and sew on some canvas belting.
